Her inspiration comes from her mother who taught her to have a strong work ethic and to have compassion for all beings. She received her veterinary degree from the University of Missouri in 2011 and saw the diversity of emergency/critical cases as personal challenges. Born and raised in Queens, New York, her first job was as a veterinary assistant. Chih is a Board Certified Emergency and Critical Care Specialist.

In many cases, we will be collecting payment over the phone. We anticipate that appointment times may take longer than normal, so we appreciate your patience. We are currently open normal business hours and are available for appointments. Keep in mind that face masks are now optional and your pet may be examined in a different room.
We will greet you with a smile rather than a handshake to practice healthy distancing when possible. Should your pet need care, please provide alternate transportation with friends or family. If you have experienced flu-like symptoms, tested positive, have been near someone with symptoms or tested positive, or traveled outside of the local area in the past 14 days – Please DO NOT come to our hospital. Please designate only one pet-parent as a point of contact for efficient communication.
Please be patient as we make these changes so we can provide safe handling of your pet and for proper communication with our clients. We have created a plan for social distancing effective immediately. New measures are being taken and are strictly precautionary. Our entire VMCWH team is currently healthy and our priority is to stay healthy while providing the best possible care to our patients.
